Safety spray shields
Safety spray shields are designed to minimize the impact of a leak or spray out from a flange connection (or other piping connection) through pressure dissipation. In the case of small leakage the temporary containment of the spray shield can provide valuable time to enable detection of the leak and avoid more serious consequences by shutting down the system. In the case of a real spray out, the Sureband mesh quickly and efficiently diffuses the spray-out, resulting in a safe drip-release rather than directly at people or material with possibly catastrophic consequences. This way safety spray shields can reduce the effect of the system line pressure.
Safety spray shields can act as a an important part of a risk analyses and reduce other mitigating actions whenever hazardous materials, chemicals, high temperature fluids or flammable products are involved.
